Unit objectives:

* Provide educational and training services to graduate students to qualify them to work in the field of childhood.
* Provide counseling services for parents on how to face health, psychological, social and media problems of childhood.
* Conducting field research and studies in: the medical, psychological and media fields in a way that serves children.
* Holding training courses and organizing programs for workers in the field of children and children's programs.
* Organizing training courses for workers and dealers with ordinary children and those with special needs.
* Serving the community and the environment by studying realistic problems and spreading scientific awareness to prevent diseases and childhood problems.
* Health and educational awareness for parents.
* Cooperating with the concerned authorities to conduct survey research to diagnose the most important health, psychological and social problems of childhood.
* Strengthening the ties and coordinating cooperation between the unit and similar units and other parties concerned with childhood problems
* Legalization of psychological tests of practical importance in the fields of childhood
* Providing health and psychological care to diagnose childhood diseases, the causes of their spread, and ways to prevent them
.* Preparing a database and information network on childhood studies and their problems in Egypt.
