University students win first places in the national competition for the Ministry of Youth and Sports creativity

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, expressed his happiness at what the university students have achieved by winning first positions in scientific creativity, playing and music and the third position in sculpting the National Competition of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Creativity, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, It is the largest competition in the Arab world and the Middle East for university students, higher institutes, government and private academies.

His Excellency praised this achievement, which is the culmination of the efforts of the education sector and students, headed by Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs during the current school year, under extremely difficult conditions in the world as a whole, these days as a result of the invasion of the Corona pandemic and all state institutions confronted to eliminate it, to present a spark of hope for the end of the pandemic.

Where the University’s Innovation Oasis team won the first place in the field of scientific creativity (the field of automatic submarines) consisting of students Mustafa Ali, Mohamed Al-Saeed, Amr Mohamed, Omar Tarik, Michael Emad. The value of the first prize is 42125 thousand Egyptian pounds.

The students of the university's playing and music team also won the first place at the level of Egyptian universities and academies, and the value of the first prize is 95,000 Egyptian pounds, which is distributed to the winning students, members of the team. The jury of the competition consisted of the great musician Hani Mehanna, singer Nadia Mustafa, Professor Dr. Ezz Al-Din Taha and Professor Dr. Sami Al-Hefnawi. It is worth noting that the team is being trained by Dr. Moataz Metwally from the Higher Institute of Arab Music; the team’s training has started since the summer period in preparation for the competition Building of the General Administration of Youth Welfare at the university.

The student Mohamed El Sayed Said, at the Faculty of Commerce, won the third place in sculpture (artistic activity) with a prize of 16,000 EGP.

He stressed that the winning students will be honored from the university soon.
