A cooperation agreement between Ain Shams University, Banha University and the Agricultural Research Center to develop applied scientific research

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metiny, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Jamal Al-Saeed, President of Benha University, and Dr. Mohamed Soliman, President of the Agricultural Research Center, signed a memorandum of understanding to implement joint scientific and research projects in the fields of veterinary medicine and agriculture, in the presence of Dr. Ayman Farid Abu Hodeid, former Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and Dr. Hussein Al Maghribi, Vice President of Benha University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Randa Mostafa, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Nasser Al Jizawi, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Galal El Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at Ain Shams University, and Dr. Mohamed Mohamedi Ghanem, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Dr. Mumtaz Shaheen, Director of the Animal Health Research Institute, Dr. Emad Al-Shahed, Coordinator of the Agricultural Research Center, Dr. Muhammad Saad, Director of the Institute for Veterinary Vaccine and Serology Research, and Ms. Samia Abdel Hamid, Secretary General of Benha University.

The agreement comes within the framework of Egypt's 2030 vision for sustainable development and support the state's efforts in implementing a number of mega national projects for aquaculture, the one and a half million acres project, livestock development and other projects supported by the state with the aim of achieving food security as a strategic commodity for citizens.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metiny expressed his happiness in cooperating with Benha University and the Agricultural Research Center, noting that the memorandum of understanding aims to consolidate joint cooperation through training students, developing scientific and applied research that serves society and the environment, and developing students' professional skills that qualify them for the labor market.

Dr. Gamal Al-Saeed, President of Benha University, indicated that the university is keen to deepen the bonds of constructive cooperation with Egyptian universities, research centers, civil society institutions and industrial institutions to improve their performance and products to serve the local community by providing all forms of technical support to these institutions, linking scientific research with industry and working to solve community problems. And environmental development.

The head of the Agricultural Research Center, Dr. Muhammad Suleiman explained that Ain Shams University, Benha University, and the Agricultural Research Center include scientific expertise and advanced laboratory equipment that enriches the research and scientific field, and from this standpoint comes the importance of cooperation between the three parties in the field of joint research projects to prepare scientific cadres And conducting research that serves the community.

It is noteworthy that the Memorandum of Understanding guarantees to the parties the opportunities for joint supervision of scientific messages in various fields, the implementation of joint research projects, the development of research skills for researchers, as well as the optimal use of laboratories and laboratory capabilities available to each institution while providing opportunities for the participation of undergraduate students in the national campaigns adopted by the state to deepen the spirit of participation and belonging.
