Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdel Hamid, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, held a major celebration under the title "Traveler through the ages" in the framework of the cultural season of the community service and environmental development sector and the center of papyrus studies and inscriptions to honor the great scientist and the great historian Isaac Obeid Professor of History at Ain Shams University and recipient of the State Prize.

Tarek Mansour, Vice Dean of Faculty of Arts for Community Service and Environmental Development pointed out that Isaac Obeid is a professor of Middle Eastern history. He was born in Assiut, Egypt. He graduated from Alexandria University in 1955 and combined the culture of the South and the North. He received his doctorate from the University of Nottingham in England. He is one of the most important writers, philosophers and translators in Egypt and in the Arab world. He has many books translated into history, literature and poetry. He also represented Egypt in many European and Arab countries.
During the meeting, Obeid expressed his happiness at his presence at the center of the papyrus and inscriptions at Ain Shams University. He stressed that Egypt will remain guarded and in progress, prosperity and lasting success.
