As a continuation of Ain Shams University's efforts to spread awareness and science among all sectors of Egyptian society, and under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Matiny, President of the University, and the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector headed by Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdel Hamid, and in fruitful and constructive cooperation with the General Authority for Adult Education headed by Dr. Ashour Omari to raise the level of the individual In society and achieving sustainable development for Egypt's vision 2030, the Ain Shams University Literacy Committee met under the chairmanship of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdel Hamid,
Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and in the presence of Dr. Ashour Omari, President of the Public Authority for Adult Education, and the Vice Deans of the College of Literature, Girls, Education and Languages For Community Service and Environmental Development: Prof. Tariq Mansour, Prof. Hazem Rashid, Prof. Amira Youssef, and Prof. Yamani Safwat, Mr. Sohail Hamzah, Assistant Secretary for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Islam Al-Saeed, Director of the Adult Education Center, and Dr. Nahla Jamal, the University's Adult Education Center, the project coordinators at the University’s seven faculties for the first phase, the Adult Education Center, and the coordinators of the General Authority for Adult Education for the project, Dr. Fatima Ayyad, University Coordinator in the authority and Ms. Nourhan, director of the Cairo branch of the General Authority for Adult Education.
Where Prof. Nazmi Abdel Hamid expressed his happiness at hosting the Public Authority for Adult Education, Literacy Paradise at the university, indicating that this cooperation comes within the framework of activating the investment of the university's youth energies, serving and developing the external community to confront the issue of illiteracy and promote the Egyptian citizen and raise awareness of the importance of literacy as a matter of dignity Humanitarianism, respect for human rights, and reaching societies more literate with literacy skills.
The faculties have reviewed their achievements in support of the project, the remarkable development, the students ’turnout for effective participation, the statement of developments and the instructions organized in the General Authority for Adult Education.
