Opening of “Our heritage” exhibition with the participation of Ain Shams University

The activities of the Our Heritage Exhibition, organized by the Enterprise Development Authority under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, for the second year in a row, was launched at the Egypt Center for International Exhibitions, in the presence of Mrs. Neven Jamea, Minister of Trade and Industry, CEO of the Agency and a group of ministers.

The exhibition provides an opportunity for hundreds of exhibitors in the field of handicrafts and heritage to market their various artistic products, which Ain Shams University has participated in under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and the Center for Innovation and Creativity at Ain Shams University, led by Prof. Dr. Maged Ghanima and Prof. Dr. Osama El-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr.. Sally Shibl, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Noha Abdel Aziz, Head of Art Education Department, Faculty of Specific Education, Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Amal Nasreddin, Director of the IHub Center for Creativity and Innovation at the college, with the participation of professors and students of the Faculty of Specific Education at Ain Shams University.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University affirmed that the university’s participation comes from the standpoint of encouraging and supporting small and medium enterprises and giving their owners the opportunity to display their products, opening wider horizons for spread and development, in addition to preserving these important industries from extinction and encouraging young people to learn these handicrafts, master and establish Small projects within the framework of the university's support for entrepreneurship by opening outlets to market their products, especially in this field that can absorb large numbers of young people and does not require huge investments compared to other sectors such as heavy industries and others.

Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, explained the university's keenness to encourage students, develop their skills and enrich their talents, through the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which the university supports with all forms of support for the benefit of Egyptian students and youth who have innovations and new ideas, as well as projects that depends on skills and talent such as the work of students of the Faculty of Specific Education.

The university pavilion contained a sculptural statue of His Excellency the President of the Republic, sculpted by Prof. Dr. Manal Zakaria, in addition to many textile artifacts represented in textile paintings by the famous player Mohamed Salah, and another painting that contained animal elements in an abstract way, textile bags and textile brides, and the exhibition also contained clothes printed with pictures of the African logo with wool, and other clothes dyed in the manner of knots and tying And batik, and it also contained metal artifacts, jewelry with silver and copper, leather bags made of natural leather with work of braiding and rubbing and bas-relief and prominent drawings, as well as wooden models and a wood plate inlaid with arabesque.
