Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, a group of doctors in isolation hospitals for their efforts in treating and caring for those infected with the new COVID-19 virus, and during his speech he valued the efforts of the Ain Shams University Doctors Brigade and all medical teams, praising the sacrifices they made that words could not appreciate. He praised the sacrifices they had made that words could not appreciate, and added that the university’s appreciation for its white army is not limited to financial appreciation only, but is preceded by moral appreciation as well.
During the celebration witnessed by Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the College of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, and the Vice Deans of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Osama Mansour, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Heba Allah Al-Saeed, Vice Dean for Education and Students) and Prof. Dr. Samia Abdo, deputy director of university hospitals and director of the infection control team, and a group of hospital directors and department heads. Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Matini said that Ain Shams University hospitals were and will remain an integral part of the health care system in Egypt, especially El-Obour Hospital for isolation and the field hospital, indicating that preparations are continuing in full swing to face any potential waves of the virus.
He added that Ain Shams University is about to start implementing Ain Shams Medical City, which will allow the development of the medical service with all its elements.
He stressed that the challenges we faced during the last period contributed to increasing our expertise, which would contribute to more effective and flexible performance.
Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar that honoring doctors and all medical staff continues during the coming period, pointing out that this ceremony will be followed by a series of ceremonies to honor all White Army soldiers at Ain Shams Medicine.
