The university president honors doctors and administrators in hospitals and a number of central departments at the university

The series of honoring parties organized by the College of Medicine to honor all participants during the last period in the face of the emerging corona virus has concluded, as Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, honored a group of isolation hospitals doctors for their efforts in treating and caring for those infected with the emerging COVID-19 virus, as well as honoring the nursing staff at the College of Nursing and the Technical Institute of Nursing, led by Prof. Sahar Moussa, Dean of the Faculty, in addition to honoring a group of administrators and workers in the various hospital departments as well as the central departments of the university.

This was in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors, and the Vice Deans of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Osama Mansour, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr, Samia Abdo, Deputy Director of University Hospitals and Director of the Infection Control Team.

During his speech, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, praised the efforts of the Ain Shams University Physicians Brigade and all medical teams, including nurses and pharmacists, as well as support services, also praised the efforts and cooperation of administrators and directors of departments, centers and central units at the university, for their sacrifices that words cannot appreciate.

El-Matini said that Ain Shams University hospitals were and will remain an integral part of the health care system in Egypt, especially Obour isolation hospital and the field hospital, indicating that the preparations are continuing in full swing to confront the second wave of the virus.

He added that Ain Shams University is about to start implementing Ain Shams Medical City, which will allow the development of the medical service with all its elements.

He stressed that the challenges we faced during the last period contributed to increasing our expertise, which would contribute to more effective and flexible performance.

The celebration included a minute of silence for the martyrs who lost their lives in the face of the epidemic.
