Ain Shams University students continue to excel in the University Girls Olympiad in Luxor

Under the auspices of prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the university participates with a student delegation that includes 16 girls from different colleges of the university in the fourth session of the University Girls Olympiad, which is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports represented by the Central Administration for Sports Development and the Directorate of Youth and Sports in Luxor, and it continues from 16 to November 19, and it will be held in the Youth City and the Civic Education Center in Luxor Governorate, amidst strict precautionary and preventive measures.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud that Ain Shams University participates in various team and individual sports, including volleyball, five-a-side football and table tennis, in addition to athletics, pointing out that the university girls were able to win the first place in the shot put and qualify for the quarter-finals in volleyball after winning the University Tanta 2/0, in addition to qualifying for the quarter-finals in the quintet of football after defeating Beni Suef 4/0 and South Wadi 2/0.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud pointed out that Ain Shams University is keen on the participation of its students in various sporting events and competitions, with the aim of motivating them, providing them with new skills and refining their talents in various fields, as well as inculcating the values ​​of sportsmanship and honest competition, stressing that the students participate in the Olympiad with a commitment to apply the highest degrees of precaution and prevention and social distancing.

The second day of the Olympiad will witness the quarter-final activities of group games, the round of 16 in table tennis, long jump and 100-meter competitions.

It is noteworthy that the fourth session of the University Girl Olympiad in Luxor is attended by 500 students from 24 Egyptian universities and is sponsored by the ministries of youth and sports, higher education and scientific research.
