Hermes manages the fellowship fund at Ain Shams University

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metiny, President of Ain Shams University, and Mr. Karim Awad, Executive Director of the Hermes Holding Group of Companies, signed a cooperation agreement between Ain Shams University and the Hermes Holding Group on Thursday, December 3, 2020, to manage the fellowship fund for faculty members and workers at Ain Shams University.

The signing ceremony was in the presence of Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nagi Abdel Momen, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Khaled Kadri, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Prof. Hayam Wahba, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research at Faculty of Business, Counselor Muhammad Shatat, Professor Karam Hegazy, Assistant Secretary General of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and a number of representatives of the Hermes Holding Group.

President of Ain Shams University said that this cooperation aims to invest the available resources at the best return to maximize the fund’s assets for the benefit of faculty members and university workers, expressing his hope that this cooperation will result in achieving the best possible investments for the fund’s money in a way that allows the fund to grow its money to maximize the return that all employees and faculty members get at the university.

Prof. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, expressed his happiness for the completion of the contract, expecting the desired objectives of the Fund to be achieved.

Prof. Nagy Abdel Momen, Dean of the Faculty of Law, said that the importance of implementing this contract lies in the importance of achieving a return that covers the Fund's obligations in light of a lower degree of risk.

As confirmed by Prof. Khaled Kadri, Dean of the Faculty of Business, stressed the importance of cooperating with Hermes in providing the company with a set of recommendations that contribute to increasing the expected revenues of the fund that serve all employees and faculty members at the university.

Prof. Dr. Hayam Wahba, Professor of Investment and Finance and Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research at Faculty of Business stated that this contract aims to develop and manage the fund’s allocations for the benefit of workers and faculty members at Ain Shams University and in line with the requirements of Law No. 14 of the Ministry of Investment Resolution 109 of 2015 amending Some provisions of the Private Funds Law No. 54 of 1975 and in accordance with the decisions of the Financial Supervision Authority, and also clarified that the offer submitted by the Financial Group Hermes was selected after studying a number of offers submitted by 5 leading companies in the field of fixed income fund asset management according to specific and objective criteria .
