University President honors Dr. Zahi Hawass before opening of the "Secrets of the Pharaohs" seminar

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, honored Dr. Zahi Hawass, the former Minister of Antiquities and the famous Egyptian scientist, at the headquarters of the Saffron Palace at the university, prior to the opening of the seminar "Secrets of the Pharaohs" within the activities of the university's cultural season for the academic year 2020/2021, which is organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector in cooperation with Education sector, students and a family for central Egypt.

The meeting was witnessed by Prof. Dr. Hesham Temraz, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Al-Damati, Professor of Archeology and Former Minister of Antiquities, and Prof. Dr. Gehan Ragab, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Business for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the symposium's coordinator, and the media, journalist and film critic, Amal Othman.

This was followed by a tour of the Zafaran Palace, which dates back to the era of Khedive Ismail.
