Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, met with Ambassador Mohamed Khalil, Secretary General of the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development, Minister Plenipotentiary Karim Amin, Deputy Secretary General of the Agency, and students coming from Africa, according to the grant provided by the agency and the enrolled 12 students from a number of African countries, including South Sudan, Sudan, Uganda, Eritrea, Tanzania and Kenya, in the presence of Prof. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Shahera Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, Executive Director of the International Cooperation Sector, and Professor Dr. Heba Allah Al-Saeed, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Sherwet Al-Ahmadi, Director of the University's Expatriate Department, and Dr. Nayra Sami, Director of the Expatriate Department at the Faculty of Medicine.
The meeting came to check on the students' conditions and the progress of the educational process, and during the meeting Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini to the students' needs, discussed their conditions and urged them to study diligence, offering them encouragement, stressing that all university leaderships are open to listen to any demand and overcome any obstacles.
He also provided some advice to expatriate students about the measures to be taken regarding the Corona virus in terms of the need to pay attention to washing hands constantly and maintaining the spacing between students and wearing the muzzle, indicating that Ain Shams University has moved to distance education using the developed technologies, which necessitated the development of infrastructure and information.
