Cooperation protocol between Ain Shams University and the Red Crescent

Nevin El-Kabbag, Minister of Social Solidarity and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, signed a joint cooperation protocol today, between the Egyptian Red Crescent Society and Ain Shams University, represented by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University.

In the presence of Prof. Dr. Shahera Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development and Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Anwar, Director of Ain Shams Hospitals, Prof. Dr. Samia Abdo, Deputy Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals.

This comes within the framework of the Egyptian Red Crescent policies, which aim to expand the base of business partners and provide societal support to all parties and institutions in the Egyptian society.

The protocol aims to provide a package of medical services, health care and awareness activities, first aid services, and psychosocial support services to underprivileged groups in Cairo and all governorates through medical convoys.

Nevin El-Kabbag confirmed that the Egyptian Red Crescent is a long-standing institution that has a continuous journey of giving, noting that the Egyptian Red Crescent is always present in crises and relief, and this is clearly evident in the recent torrential crisis in the country.

The Minister of Social Solidarity added that the Egyptian Red Crescent has great heroic roles and numerous interventions in the emerging Corona virus crisis, as it has great development, humanitarian and medical experience.

The Minister of Social Solidarity indicated that cooperation with Ain Shams University is an important matter, especially that Ain Shams University is one of the universities that work in development and community service, and it is also one of the universities that had a first in activating the medical isolation hospital for people with Coronavirus, confirming that the signature of The protocol with the university will benefit the citizens.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, confirmed that the Egyptian Red Crescent has a great role not only at the local level, but also at the regional and international levels, and its role has further crystallized during the confrontation of the emerging corona virus pandemic.

The President of Ain Shams University added that there is always cooperation between Ain Shams University and the Egyptian Red Crescent, as the isolation hospital was implemented and the university cities were equipped, praising the role of the Ministry of Social Solidarity that has always supported the university in all its activities provided to students, which was recently represented in the Social Solidarity Unit within universities Egyptian.

Ain Shams University is considered one of the oldest and oldest scientific edifices in Egypt, which contribute to providing advanced educational programs with international standards and quality through an advanced infrastructure that works to serve and develop society.
