The student unions elections for Ain Shams University have entered their final stages, and the Supreme Elections Committee is headed by Prof. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Elections Committee, and the membership of Prof. Karim Al-Batouti, Vice Dean of the College of Dentistry, and Prof. Tamer Rady, Professor of Economics and Vice Chancellor University President for Student Activities and Prof. Mohammed Al-Khatib, Assistant Secretary of the University, and Prof. Ibrahim Saeed, the supervisor of the university cities sector, the rest of the remaining stages.
As the elections were held in each of the College of Nursing, which was able to complete the quorum for the number of student voters, while the run-off elections at the Girls ’College resulted in the failure to complete the quorum.
The secretaries and assistant secretaries of the union committees were elected in the various colleges. Today, the president and vice president of the union will be elected in each college.
The electoral process concludes with the election of the League’s Council on Thursday, December 24.
Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saud, head of the Supreme Elections Committee, stated that the university is waiting for the new union council to provide it with all support, as is the norm with previous councils, and work to prepare and equip all activities in line with the current stage through appropriate precautionary measures to ensure the safety of university students.
