Selection of the President of Ain Shams University for membership in the global advisory board of the National Belt and Road Academy for Green Development (General Principal)

The National Academy of the Belt and the Road for Green Development (NABRGD) has chosen Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Matiny, President of Ain Shams University, to be a member of the Global Advisory Council of the National Belt and Road Academy for Green Development, in appreciation of his efforts in supporting joint work in the fields of sustainable development, facing various crises and current environmental challenges and promoting global economic growth.

And Prof. Mahmoud Al-Matini, the Academy’s role in supporting sustainable development plans around the world, especially the 64 countries located on the Belt and Road Map, pointing to the pivotal role played by the Silk Road Studies and Research Center at Ain Shams University in this regard, especially as it is the only center in the African continent and the second It aims to support the plans of the Egyptian state and the vision of Egypt 2030 through the consultations and research it provides in cooperation with the various stakeholders locally and internationally.
And Prof. Esraa Abdel Sayed, Director of the Silk Road Research and Studies Center at Ain Shams University, said that the National Academy of the Belt and Road for Green Development was established in November 2019 to promote mutual learning of green civilization and green cultural exchange between countries in the "Belt and Road" regions, noting that Ain Shams University had an active participation In the first International Conference on the Belt and Road, which was organized by the Chinese People's University, the largest governmental university for the ruling party in the People's Republic of China last September, it had a wide response around the world, especially as the Belt and Road Initiative entered its seventh year
