The Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood at Ain Shams University organized, on Tuesday, a ceremony honoring the members of the faculty of scientific research ethics committee and all former committee chairmen in appreciation of their efforts and outstanding performance that led to its accreditation as a national committee and joining the Egyptian network of scientific research ethics committees.
Prof. Dr. Howayda Al-Gebali, Dean of the Faculty, presented certificates of appreciation to the honorees, and Dr. Amr Ali, Head of the Central Administration for Health Research and Development at the Ministry of Health, and Dr. Hany Selim, Coordinator of the Egyptian Network of Scientific Research Ethics Committees, were honored in appreciation of their good cooperation with the college and their efforts in strengthening the role of the Faculty Ethics Committee.
This was stated by Prof. Dr. Randa Kamal Abdel-Raouf, vice dean for Community Service and Environmental Development and Head of the Ethics Committee for Scientific Research at the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood, Ain Shams University, who organized the celebration, explaining that the Ethics Committee for Scientific Research at the Faculty was established ten years ago and over these years has been By reviewing the scientific protocols for master's and doctoral theses, as well as scientific research submitted by students and faculty members, the committee has recently undertaken an activity and tangible development that has led to its qualification for accreditation as a national committee to become the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood within only four colleges at the level of Ain Shams University She joins the Egyptian Network of Research Ethics Committees.
This step is considered one of the important procedures in preparation for the committee's registration in the Supreme Council for Scientific Research Ethics, to be established in accordance with Law No. 214 of 2020 regulating clinical medical research.
