A master's thesis about the Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design program wins the first place of the international organization "DAIDA"

Master thesis submitted by Eng. Maria Velverde, from the eighth batch of 2020 of the Master in Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design, in cooperation between Ain Shams University in Egypt and Stuttgart, Germany, won first place in the framework of the annual award of the global DAIDA organization for the year 2020.

The title of the researcher's message coming from the country of "Peru" was entitled: ""Urban Water Landscape and the Provision of Water Services in Peru", under the supervision of Prof. Muhammad Salhin from Ain Shams University and Dr. Astrid Lay from the University of Stuttgart.

The DAIDA Awards aim to support and assist graduates with a master's degree who, through their research and dissertation, have helped improve the living conditions and infrastructure of developing cities.

It is also worth noting and proud that the short list for this year’s competition included 25 participants from 12 different universities from all over the world, including 3 participants from the Master’s Program on Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design at Ain Shams University headed and supported by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh Vice President of the University and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the program, which was founded and managed by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Salhin.
