The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research visited the university on the first day of the resumption of the university year and the first semester exams

Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, an inspection tour at Ain Shams University to check on the soundness of the educational process. On the first day of the resumption of the academic year, he accompanied him during the inspection tour, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Matini, President of the University and Prof. Abdel-Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Temraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Mohamed Diaa, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry and Prof. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and a group of gentlemen, vice presidents.

As Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar stressed the need to implement all precautionary measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus.

         
   
         

His Excellency also inspected the examination committees in the faculties of dentistry and arts, as well as the examinations committees for people with special needs at the Al-Basar Center of the Faculty of Arts, as he made sure that several entrances and paths were available in the Faculties to receive students one hour before the committee’s appointment to avoid any crowding, and the availability of heat detectors, masks, sterilizers and disinfectants at each entrance Establishing a compulsory path for students to enter the committees, and a compulsory path for exit even outside the Faculty; There are no gatherings at all inside the Faculty, whether before or after the exam, as well as ensuring the continuous sterilization of all examination halls and halls before each test period.

His Excellency stressed the necessity of full commitment to wearing masks throughout the exam period.

They were received at the Faculty of Arts by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Rasha Al-Didi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, during his inspection of the examination committees, met with students and examination committees for students with special needs and students from the Vision Center and answered their inquiries and was assured of the compatibility of the questions with the rapporteur and praised the preparations made by the Faculty in organizing committees to achieve divergence and follow precautionary measures to limit the spread of the Coronavirus.

         
   
         

For his part, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty, emphasized the interest of the Faculty administration in facilitating the examination process for the student and overcoming all obstacles that may face the student. He also explained that the exams began today February 27, 2021 and end on March 30, and the examinations are divided into 4 periods starting from the hour. It is nine o'clock in the morning and ends at four in the afternoon, and the duration of the committee is one hour, then the rest is an hour between each committee to sterilize and clean the committees, taking into account the precautionary measures and stressing the wearing of the muzzle in addition to the readiness of the security and civil defense personnel and ensuring the safety of alarms and fire extinguishers and ensuring that there is no crowding during entry and exit from the examination committees, as well as the preparedness of the medical staff in the Faculty and providing them with first aid tools in the event that any suspicion of infection with the Coronavirus is detected and the necessary measures are followed.

The precautionary measures were also taken into account during the delivery of the answer sheets to the control sheets by transporting them in sterile plastic boxes to reduce the occurrence of infection and to protect students and faculty members.
