The Faculty of Commerce publishes a guide to conduct scientific seminars

Prof. Dr. Hayam Wahba, Vice-Dean of Graduate Studies and Research at the Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University, announced the issuance of a guide to the procedures and rules for scientific seminars, discussion committees and the provision of scientific thesis for the first time to facilitate the task of researchers for the academic year 2018-2019. This was under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Khalid Kadri, Dean of the Faculty.

The guide included some rules governing scientific seminars, such as setting a fixed date for the seminars of the scientific departments in four seminars during the year, which are in the last week of the month (February - May - October - December).

The researcher is required to prepare a PowerPoint presentation for the presentation of the professors of the scientific department or according to the department's opinion. In addition, the researcher is allowed to obtain the degree of proficiency in English before the seminar through his presence in the seminar and discuss the proposed subject for registration.

However, it will not be registered in the scientific section and the Graduate Studies Committee only after the submission of a certificate of mastery of the English language to be 450 for the master, 500 for the PhD in the case of writing the thesis in Arabic. The researcher must obtain a score of 7 in the IELTS or at least 592 in TOEFL if the thesis is written in English.

The guide also included the rules and procedures for the formation of the committee of the ruling and discussion, including the requirement of international publication in a magazine registered in the European Reference Manual for Humanities or an international journal accredited in the case of a PhD. In addition to attend two conferences inside and outside the university, as well as attending two community activities such as workshops - a cultural season or a medical convoy in accordance with the new conditions set by Ain Shams University.

It is also required that the researcher has spent the minimum legal period prescribed for preparing the letter.
