The Ministry of Higher Education: a student conference to build the entrepreneurial capacities of university youth

Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, reviewed a report submitted by Prof. Dr. Taya Abdellatif, Advisor to the Minister for Student Activities, on the activities of the student conference entitled (Building Entrepreneurial Capabilities for Egyptian University Students), which was held at the headquarters of the American University in Cairo.

The conference came with the aim of building students' entrepreneurial capabilities and how to develop them, within the framework of the Ministry of Higher Education strategy that seeks to build the personality of the university student and prepare him for leadership and raise his capabilities at the personal and professional level.

The report indicated that the conference addressed a number of important topics, on top of which are facing challenges, developing team capabilities, self-management and developing personal qualities, time management, communication skills, ethical principles of leadership, developing decision-making ability, and entrepreneurship.

During the conference activities, personal experiences of some entrepreneurial projects that are qualified for a better future were presented, innovative ideas were presented and technical advice was presented to students.

The report indicated that the precautionary measures were followed in the implementation of the conference activities, as seminars and meetings were held in the park of the American University in Cairo (Tahrir Square), and the participating students praised the organization and preparation by the American University Students' Union and the good choice of themes and topics in addition to the competence of the speakers.

It is worth noting that the conference came at the invitation of the American University Students' Union and commissioned by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and representatives of student union leaderships from Ain Shams, Cairo, Mansoura, American University, German University, British University, October 6 University, University of Egypt participated in its activities. International, Misr University for Science and Technology, Modern Academy, and Coventry University.
