The start of the January exams for the current academic year for graduate students at the Faculty of Arts

Postgraduate examinations for the academic year 2020/2021, which are held from Wednesday 3 March 2021 to the 28th of the same month, began under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Sherin Mazloum, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research.

Prof. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty, stated that a set of precautionary measures and measures that were announced to all students and researchers before the start of the exams are being taken. These measures included the necessity for students to wear masks, indicating that the number of students in the committees and taking into account the spacing was taken in order to preserve Student safety in light of the spread of the Corona virus.

         
   
         

He pointed out that a number of controls have been emphasized, including, the distribution of student entry to examination committees from more than one gate to take into account the spacing and non-congestion, the continuous sterilization of the exam committees and roads, the measurement of students' temperatures using thermal reagents upon entry and inside the committees, leaving a distance between each student and another inside Committees, prohibiting the exchange of tools between students, as well as preventing their presence in the faculty grounds and gatherings.

Prof. Dr. Sherin Mazloum, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, said that the examinations are conducted on diploma, master's and doctoral students with the credit hour system, as 504 male and female students take the exams on this system, except for the departments of tourism guidance and media whom the old system is applied in holding exams at the end of the year.

She emphasized that the committees were divided by half the actual capacity of the runway to take into account the desired social distancing in this period, and the examinations are held in two periods on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9:11 am and 12:30 am and from 12:30 pm, as for Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays, they are held on one period from 12.30: 2.30 pm.

Mazloum also confirmed that for students wishing to apologize for the exams, the faculty will accept medical apologies in cases of suspicion and infection with the Coronavirus.
