An upcoming cooperation between Ain Shams University and Hiroshima University of Japan

Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, held a video-conference meeting with officials at Hiroshima University, Japan, to discuss ways to activate a prospective project to activate a number of scholarships for graduate students from Ain Shams University to study at Hiroshima University in Japan, in the presence of the Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Director of the International Cooperation Office and the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Hani El-Shimi, Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Tokyo, and Researcher Mohamed Abdel-Majid at the University's Faculty of Education.

It is noteworthy that this prospective project will include 4 Egyptian universities, namely Cairo, Ain Shams, Aswan and New Valley University, as it is suggested that this project will continue for a period of 5 years, and a number of African universities from Zimbabwe and Malawi are also participating in the project.

Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh said that the study will be for two postgraduate students via distance study, and two students to conduct research at Hiroshima University in Japan in the fields of health, food security and education in addition to online courses for a number of students, and the project also includes exchange visits between graduate students with university students Hiroshima and university students in Malawi and another in Zambia with the aim of strengthening friendship, not just science, indicating that the study in Japan will last for a period of three to nine months, adding that mutual visits will be for short periods as well as online courses.
