Applications are now open for the Africa Young Innovator for Health Award for 2021

The Graduate Studies and Research Sector at Ain Shams University, headed by Professor Ayman Saleh, announced the opening of the application for the 2021 Africa Young Innovator for Health Award, which is an award launched in the first competition aimed at highlighting and supporting the work of a young entrepreneur and developing health innovations.

The award aims to encourage entrepreneurship and help in developing promising healthcare solutions, and the award is looking for solutions aimed at supporting, equipping, protecting and training health care workers, who are at the forefront of providing health care to societies, as doctors, nurses, pharmacists, nursing assistants and community care Social workers are the critical backbone of well-functioning healthcare systems.

No other category of workers is essential to the well-being of every nation's population, which is why in its first edition the award will focus on supporting innovations that can make a real difference to healthcare workers.

By looking at young people, the award finds practical solutions for healthcare professionals. Africa is the smallest continent on the planet, and 22 per cent of working-age people in Africa have started their businesses - the highest rate of entrepreneurship in the world, so the Africa Young Innovator for Health Award combines the need for innovative solutions to strongly support health care workers with a youthful entrepreneurial spirit.

This year's award program will search for innovative healthcare solutions aimed at supporting, equipping, protecting, and training healthcare workers.
