The Minister of Higher Education witnesses the signing of a cooperation agreement between the university and the Higher Institute for Cooperative and Administrative Studies

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between Ain Shams University and the Higher Institute for Cooperative and Administrative Studies. With the aim of supporting academic and scientific cooperation between the university and the institute, and opening new horizons for cooperation between the two sides, at the institute's headquarters in Al-Muneera.

During the signing ceremony, the minister referred to the historical relationship between Ain Shams University and the Higher Institute for Cooperative and Administrative Studies, pointing to the importance of cooperation between universities and institutes, based on the universities ’role in achieving continuous education for all sectors of society, explaining that the institutes’ development plan during the coming period will be approved. That the university be a back-office on which the institute and the rest of the other institutes rely, to benefit from the university's technical, academic and administrative support.

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar praised the effort exerted in developing the Higher Institute for Cooperative and Administrative Studies, and the role of Dr. Kamal Abu Al-Khair - may God have mercy on him - founder of the institute in this, stressing that the institute is an honorable model for the rest of the institutes, expressing his happiness with the signing of this agreement, calling for the formation of mini-committees during the next week. To develop a plan to activate this agreement to exchange experiences and support scientific and academic cooperation between the Institute and Ain Shams University in professional and postgraduate studies.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, affirmed the support for academic and scientific cooperation with the Institute and opening new horizons for performing the best educational mission carried out by the Institute since its inception in the sixties of the last century until now.

Dr. Hassan Ratib, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Association for Cooperative Studies, noted to the peculiarity of the Cooperation Institute, which represents cooperative scientific thought in the Arab region and its scientific and societal role is growing day by day, appreciating the role that the Ministry of Higher Education has played in this regard, pointing out that cooperation with Ain Shams University establishes a culture of teamwork, and that the development that occurred in the institute It is the result of the work of a distinguished group of specialists in collaborative and management thought.

         
   
         

The protocol was signed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Dr. Hassan Ratib, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Association for Cooperative Studies.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Moufid Shehab, Professor of International Law at Cairo University and former Minister of Higher Education, Mr. El-Sayed Atta, Head of the Education Sector at the Ministry, Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz, Dean of the Institute, and a number of leaders of the cooperative movement.

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar also inspected the Higher Institute for Cooperative and Administrative Studies of the Egyptian Association for Cooperative Studies, to see the recent equipment development and renovation work at the institute, and to check on the progress and regularity of the educational process within the institute in the second semester of the current academic year.

During the inspection tour, the minister reassured the implementation of the precautionary measures at the institute to confront the Coronavirus, and also inspected the institute’s runways and teaching halls, praising the efforts made and the level of the institute’s distinguished equipment.

Dr. Abdul Ghaffar stressed the continuity of his follow-up and sudden field visits to all institutes and universities during the coming period to find out the level of educational service.
