The governor of Qena praises the comprehensive development convoy of Ain Shams University
Major General Pilot staff of war Ashraf Al-Dawoudi, Governor of Qanat, praised the comprehensive development convoy of Ain Shams University, which provided many medical, educational and other services to the people of the village of Abu Diab West in the Deshna Center in the Governorate of Qena, under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud Al-Matini, president of Ain Shams University.
During his tour at the headquarters of the convoy, during which he was accompanied by Mr. Suhail Hamza, Secretary of Ain Shams University, Assistant Secretary for Community Service and Environmental Development and Supervisor of the Convoy, and Mr. Tarik Amer, Director General of the General Administration for Environmental Projects, the governor affirmed that the cooperation and efforts of Ain Shams University confirms the solidarity of various state institutions in support Egypt Vision 2030, as well as actively contribute to the "life with dignity" initiative and other presidential initiatives aimed at developing the Egyptian countryside.
Mr. Suhail Hamza reviewed the activities of the convoy, which included free examination services through the specialties of nose, ear, ophthalmology, dermatology, general and abdominal surgery, heart and skin, children, gynecology and obstetrics, in addition to the diabetes and blood pressure clinic and health awareness campaigns about the emerging corona virus, as well as first aid methods and awareness of breast cancer And family planning through medical staff at the Faculty of Nursing, Ain Shams University, in addition to literacy and adult education activities. The Governor also witnessed the distribution of a number of prosthetic devices that were donated by the Ain Shams University convoy to the beneficiaries, in coordination with the Directorate of Social Solidarity in the governorate, which consisted of 15 wheelchairs, 30 walkers, 30 sticks, 30 three-legged canes, which were donated by Ain Shams University to serve people with special needs among the people of the governorate.
The governor was accompanied during his tour by Dr. Raji Tawadros, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Mr. Hussein Al-Baz, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, Representative Ahmed Abdel Majid Al-Ahmar, a member of the Governorate’s Senate, Representative Muhammad Kamal Moussa, a member of the Senate in Qena Governorate, and Representative Nagla Bacon, a member of Parliament.
The Governor also stated that Qena Governorate has succeeded in completing 1500 national projects during the current year, pointing out that the success of the convoy works makes us think of signing a protocol for joint cooperation with Ain Shams University to continue to benefit all the villages of the province and achieve the greatest amount of health care for citizens.
The governor affirmed that the inclusion of many activities in the Ain Shams University convoy would maximize benefit from them, for the benefit of the Egyptian citizen.
He added that the governorate is fully prepared to fully cooperate with Ain Shams University, especially in light of the university's provision of free treatment for cases that have been referred to receive health care from Ain Shams University Hospitals.
He also praised Ain Shams University's efforts in the field of illiteracy eradication and adult education in cooperation with the General Authority for Adult Education, which qualified it to obtain the first place for the second time in a row at the level of Egyptian universities during its participation in the National Literacy Project.
He said that having a comprehensive convoy from Ain Shams University in the governorate to serve the citizens is a great national work that we desperately need, especially in light of the current global health conditions.
