A great success for the comprehensive developmental convoy of Ain Shams University at Qena Governorate

Ain Shams University comprehensive development convoy at Qena governorate concluded its work, amid widespread praise from the people of the village of Abu Diab, west of the Dishna Center, as well as all circles and executive, local and popular leaderships in the governorate.

As a continuation of the series of convoys launched by Ain Shams University to the various villages and quarters of the governorates of Egypt, the university convoy to Qena governorate, over the course of two days only, succeeded in providing medical service to nearly 3,000 residents of the village through clinics of the nose, ear, ophthalmology, dermatology, general and internal surgery, heart, children, women and obstetrics as well as measuring the blood sugar and blood pressure levels of 1,400 visitors to the convoy clinics.

In addition, free treatment was dispensed to 2,600 villagers through the Convoy Pharmacy, in coordination with the Governorate Health Directorate.

   
   

The activities of the convoy witnessed a number of health awareness campaigns from the doctors of the Faculty of Nursing, which dealt with awareness of the Coronavirus and breast cancer, how to self-examination of the breast and awareness of chronic diseases, "pressure, diabetes, family planning, first aid."

The activities of the convoy included conducting a literacy test for 211 citizens and setting a level for 87 others, as well as distributing certificates for 42 people who were literate, in cooperation with the General Authority for Adult Education and the University's Adult Education Center.

Qena Governor witnessed the distribution of a number of prosthetic devices for people with mobility disabilities from the people of the governorate, as 15 wheelchairs, 30 walkers, 30 three-legged canes and 30 crutches were distributed to an attachment in coordination with the Directorate of Social Solidarity in the governorate.

The convoy began its work, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Major General Pilot staff of war Ashraf Gharib Al-Dawoudi, Governor of Qena, organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector headed by Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz, Vice President for Sector Affairs and General Supervision Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, under the supervision of Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant University Secretary for Sector Affairs.

Qena Governor conducted an inspection tour of the work of the convoy this afternoon, during which he was accompanied by Mr. Suhail Hamzah, Secretary General of Ain Shams University, Assistant Secretary for Community Service and Environmental Development at Ain Shams University, Mr. Tarek Amer, Director General of the General Administration for Environmental Projects, Dr. Ragi Tawadros, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, and Mr. Hussein Al-Baz, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, Representative Ahmed Abdel-Maged Al-Ahmar, a member of the governorate’s Senate, Representative Muhammad Kamal Musa, a member of the Senate in Qena Governorate, and Representative Nagla Bakhoum, a member of the House of Representatives.

Ain Shams University comprehensive development convoy comes within the framework of the series of convoys organized by the university, to confirm the solidarity of various state institutions in support of Egypt Vision 2030, as well as to actively contribute to supporting the "A Decent Life" initiative and other presidential initiatives to develop the Egyptian countryside.
