Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, witnessed the session of America Mock World Health Organization (AMWHO) simulation model, in which the faculties of the medical sector participate in the activities of the education sector and students on the first day of the ninth scientific conference of Ain Shams University, which is held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University and President of the Conference from 6 to 8 April.
The simulation model, which was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Karim Al-Batouti, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Reham Abul Fadl, Professor of Public Health and Preventive Dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry, made a number of recommendations that seek to achieve the fourth generation approach at the university.
The recommendations focused on working to expand the base of cooperation between universities and industry institutions in the field of research and financing, as well as working on cooperation between the university and local and international organizations, such as cooperation with some charitable service institutions working in the field of health service such as the 57357 Foundation and Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation by providing training For students of Facultys of medicine and pharmacy.
As well as partnership with civil society organizations such as Risalah and Orman Foundation as well as international organizations such as UNESCO and the World Health Organization and cooperation in the field of providing health awareness to underprivileged areas, in addition to expanding the partnership base with organizations that provide exchange programs such as the International Medical Students' Associations and the International Association of Dental Students and Courses. The training programs provided by the United Nations, including the programs of ERASMUS +, aim to develop and professionalize professors, increase their capabilities and raise their efficiency, as well as encourage competition opportunities and support research economics for research projects implemented by the university, as well as cooperation with many international universities such as John Hopkins University to exchange Professors, research experiences, courses and workshops.
The model also recommended launching an online platform that enables students to easily access patient data and provide appropriate diagnosis in cooperation between the university and the Ministry of Health, and finally joining the IMEDTRUST medical educational platform online through the World Health Organization regional office so that students can benefit from the lectures of foreign professors at universities as global as Oxford University.
After completing the students' presentation of WHO simulation model, following Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud on the simulation model, praising the students ’presentation, stressing that they presented a dazzling model that invites us to be proud and reassured about the future of the homeland.
He also stressed that there are many recommendations activated on the ground, including cooperation with various international universities with an academic reputation, as well as providing courses and scholarships with the major international organizations, and he promised to study and research all recommendations and implement them in an optimal manner.
