Prof. Dr. Samia Abdo said that the total number of those who received the vaccine from Ain Shams University has reached 3500 so far who wish to receive the vaccine voluntarily, pointing out that Ain Shams University had started vaccination campaigns against Corona virus since the ninth of last February with the AstraZenka and Sinopharm vaccines between a first and second dose through the Infection Control Department in university hospitals, where the vaccination of doctors and nursing staff who directly deal with HIV-infected cases in isolation hospitals (Obour hospital - Field hospital- Elderly hospital) in the first stage was started, and medical teams were vaccinated (emergency, intensive care for internal medicine, surgery and children) in The second phase, and the vaccination operations extended to include all hospitals in the third phase (internal medicine - children - surgery - women - heart - different centers and units) at Ain Shams Specialized Hospital, then the vaccination campaign began to include professors of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Nursing, the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood and internship students , In addition to the deans, faculty vice-presidents, and full-time professors, with priority given to the elderly, as an option for those who wish to Vaccination against the Covid 19 virus.
She added that vaccinations are being completed for those wishing to receive the vaccination.
