The Supreme Council of Universities: The end-of-year examinations start in June and end at the beginning of July

The Supreme Council of Universities met under the chairmanship of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, through video conference technology to follow up on the progress of studies in universities and start preparing for the end-of-year exams of the academic year 2020/2021.

The Minister instructed universities to start preparing exams schedules for the end of the school year, so that the exams start during the month of June and end with the beginning of July in all universities, and to announce them to students before the start of the exams in sufficient time, and to start preparing universities to hold exams at the end of the school year, and to prepare all necessary precautionary measures in this regard From now, to ensure the smooth running of the examinations, the safety of students, faculty staff, and employees, by preventing students from crowding into exam grades, taking into account adequate social distancing between students, and taking advantage of all universities' capabilities in conducting exams with full discipline.

The Council emphasized the intensification of relying on electronic learning (online) in providing theoretical lectures to students in a way that reduces student densities in stands and classrooms, and reduces student attendance rates on campus.

The council also confirmed the restructuring of academic schedules for students of practical faculties to reduce their attendance to a minimum that allows mastering the practical skills necessary for students of the Transfer and Graduation years.
