Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of Ain Shams University of Community Service and Environmental Development, toured the Institute of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research, where he inspected the Shams be green project for waste recycling, which is an educational project for students on green transformation and waste recycling techniques, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Noha Donia, Dean of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Hala Awad, Vice Dean of Environmental Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Reham Rifaat, Vice Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Hoda Hilal, Director of the Green Transformation Unit, and Dr. Ahmed Maher, Project Manager.
It is worth noting that the project includes 6 waste recycling units, which are the solid waste compaction unit for plastic and canes, the waste sorting unit, the sorting process, the organic fertilizer production unit from organic waste, the composting unit, the biogas production unit from organic waste, the solar electricity production unit, and the electricity production unit from the wind, the construction of the paper recycling unit and the plastic to fiber conversion unit are also underway

The project was established in cooperation with the Ain Elbeeah Association, and will be officially inaugurated on World Environment Day, which falls on June 5 of each year.
The project is scheduled to be inaugurated on the sidelines of the Waste and Circular Economy Conference, which will be organized by the Institute from June 6 to 8.
