Next September, the first batch of the Faculty of Archeology will be accepted at Ain Shams University

Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Al-Damati, Dean of the Faculty of Archeology at Ain Shams University, announced the date of the start of studies and acceptance of the first batch in the Faculty, indicating that a decision by the Minister of Higher Education to start studying at the Faculty of Archeology at Ain Shams University next September with the beginning of the new academic year, and added that a few will be accepted About 50 male and female students in each of the five departments of the faculty, bringing the total number of the first batch planned to be accepted by 250 male and female students.

Prof. Dr. Al-Damati said that the status of students affiliated with the Department of Archeology at the Faculty of Arts will continue as it is and will graduate according to the department’s regulations, and as of next year, new students will not be accepted in this department.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, issued a decision that Dr. Mamdouh Muhammad Gad Al-Damati, Professor in the Department of Archeology at the Faculty of Arts, would perform the work of the Dean of the Faculty of Archeology as of 12/15/2020 until the appointment of the dean of the faculty.

Earlier, the Council of Ministers headed by Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, issued a decision to establish the Faculty of Archeology at Ain Shams University to replace the Institute of Graduate Studies of Papyrus, Inscriptions and Restoration Arts at the university without prejudice to the stable legal centers of students enrolled in the institute.
