Within the framework of the presidential initiative "A Dignified Life", and in continuation of Ain Shams University's efforts to provide comprehensive development services in the various governorates of the Republic, Ain Shams University's comprehensive development convoy in Beheira Governorate, in cooperation with Damanhour University, succeeded in providing its medical services to 683 residents of Hosh Essa village. Under the auspices of Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Obaid Saleh, President of Damanhour University, headed by Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and General Supervision of Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean of the College of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and administrative supervision by Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
Where the convoy provided its various free medical services to the people of Hosh Essa village and its dependencies in Beheira Governorate in the specialties of general surgery, women, ophthalmology, internal medicine, brain and nerves, nose and ear, skin, children, orthopedics, heart, in addition to dispensing free treatment from the convoy pharmacy for 650 beneficiaries. In addition, 44 cases were referred for free treatment to Ain Shams University Hospitals.
The convoy also succeeded through the Adult Education Center at Ain Shams University under the supervision of Dr. Islam Al-Saeed, in cooperation with the General Authority for Adult Education headed by Dr. Ashour Omari and its branch in the Beheira Governorate, conducted surveys for 63 citizens, 46 literacy certificates were delivered and a level test was conducted for 12 citizens.
Mr. Suhail Hamza, Secretary of Ain Shams University, Assistant for Community Service and Development Affairs, accompanied by Mr. Tarek Amer, Director General of the General Administration of Environmental Projects, conducted an inspection tour of the work of the convoy to check on the conduct of the work of the convoy with the application of all precautionary and preventive measures to ensure the safety of those who frequent the convoy headquarters, Beheira Governorate, and free masks were distributed to all beneficiaries of the convoy services.
Ain Shams University continues its efforts in serving and developing the Egyptian community in all parts of the Republic and actively participating in the implementation of Egypt's Vision 2030.
