Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, held a meeting with the teaching assistants at the Faculty of Arts, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Sherin Mazloum, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs; to inform them of the capabilities provided by the university and its various centers and units within the services provided by the graduate studies and research sector on the university’s website, such as the statistical consulting service, the proofreading service, the scholarship welfare office, and the awards office.
As well as identifying the most important problems facing them in their research and encouraging obtaining grants and scholarships, as His Excellency affirmed the university's readiness to conduct intensive English language courses for teaching assistants in the departments of humanities colleges, to prepare them to travel abroad to obtain grants or missions abroad.
He added that the university has the Training Center, the Scholarships Office, and the Grants Office, and they provide full support for obtaining grants and scholarships, noting that an official email has been made for all graduate students that can be accessed on the Knowledge Bank, and he referred to all grants and missions’ announcements in addition to other services The introduction is published on the university's website and media center
He stressed the university's readiness to fund external grants for researchers to encourage its researchers, in addition to paying publishing expenses if the research is published in a first-class journal(Q1).
His Excellency also made it clear that there are a number of courses that help in the advancement, such as the digital transformation course, which has become a requirement during obtaining a master's degree and a doctorate.
Prof. Dr. Mostafa Mortada urged researchers to communicate with professors and research, diligence and perseverance in reaching everything new, adding that the theoretical faculties on them contribute to raising the international classification of Ain Shams University because it contains the largest number of professors who have a long history in academic and scientific research due to the multiplicity and diversity of specializations.
Dr. Sherin Mazloum pointed to the role of the Consultation Center Unit of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the college, which conducts English language courses to prepare researchers to obtain the TOEFL certificate.
