Announcing the award of the Japanese doctor / Hideo Noguchi for Africa in the fields of (medical research - medical services)

The Graduate Studies and Research Sector of Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, announced the opening of the application for the Japanese Doctor / Hideo Noguchi Award for Africa in the fields of (medical research - medical services), and the total value of the prizes is approximately one million US dollars, and the award is scheduled to be received within the framework of The activities of the eighth session of the Tokyo International Conference on Development in Africa (TICAD), which will be held in Tunisia in 2022.

The Japanese Doctor/Hideo Noguchi Award was launched for the first time in July 2006, to honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions in research and medical services to areas which facing the spread of infectious diseases in Africa.

The award is granted every five years, the first award awarded in 2008, the second in June 2013, and the third on the sidelines of the seventh session of TICAD in August 2019. The third award was awarded in 2019 to Jean Jacques Muyembe tamfum from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Director General of the Institute of Biomedical Research), Professor of Biomedicine at Kinshama University), and Francis Omaswa of Uganda (Executive Director of the African Center for Global Health and Social Transformation in Uganda).
