The Vice President of the University inaugurates the first international conference for female students

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Rukia Shalaby, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, inaugurated the activities of the first international conference for the education and student affairs sector, entitled "The Creative Student and the Challenges of Fourth Generation Universities", as part of the activities of the first science week, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Taya Abdel Latif, advisor to the Minister of Higher Education for student activities, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ma'ajon Al-Enezi, Dean of E-Learning at Northern Border University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prof. Dr. Mai Helmy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, conference rapporteur and Prof. Dr. Amira Shaheen, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and a group of department heads.

         
   
         

During his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Fattah Saoud expressed his happiness with the first conference for female students, which comes as a product of the previous international scientific conference of the university, which was held last April for the university, in which the students participated in a large way, praising the efforts of the college administration and the harmony in work among all its employees at various administrative levels, which appears in its development Continuous in line with the strategic vision of the university.

Then Prof Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, pointed out that the main objective of the university’s strategy is to graduate a distinguished, creative graduate who is able to compete in the global labor market, by paying attention to high-quality work that puts us in real progress that is reflected in the world rankings of universities, referring to the hybrid education experience and the distinctive model presented by Ain Shams University, he is eager to see the various experiences of the participating university, such as the experience of the Northern Border University in Saudi Arabia.

During her speech, Prof. Dr. Rukaia Shalaby said that the Science Week is a scientific epic, as the three different sectors of the faculty and 19 departments participate in its activities, which are the college departments, with the aim of refining female students to graduate a distinguished and creative student commensurate with the requirements of the fourth generation universities, praising the efforts of the faculty administration that did not stop during the last period despite the conditions of the Corona pandemic that the world is going through, the management of the college was able to accomplish a lot while maintaining the safety of workers and adhering to all precautionary measures, as nearly 20 charitable exhibitions were held, many protocols were signed, and the environment week was held, as well as attention to artistic, scientific and cultural activities for student development, in addition to issuing the college three New scientific research journals and the faculty journal obtaining the highest evaluation from the Supreme Council of Universities.

   
   

Prof. Dr. Mai Helmy explained that this conference is a first step in a series of student events that aim to emphasize the importance of student creativity, sponsor and support it, reveal the talents, abilities and creative tendencies of students, develop scientific research skills and creative thinking for students, exchange science and knowledge at the level of students and educational institutions, and actually emphasize the importance of university students’ participation in preparing and presenting scientific research, organizing and managing various activities and events, encouraging new youth ideas, and exchanging local and international experiences in the field of student creativity and talent development.

Also Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud and Prof. Dr. Ruqaia Shalaby and the deputies of the faculties, visited the exhibition held on the sidelines of the conference, which presents the creativity of students from different departments of artworks, including paintings, handicrafts and leather goods, as well as tailoring and designing clothes, innovations and technological programs. Where Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, praised the quality and sophistication of the exhibits and their distinction, and he also acquired some of them, promising to set up a larger exhibition that would display more artwork and innovations on a larger scale.

He also stressed the support and interest of the university administration in developing the capabilities and talents of students in all fields, which always qualifies university students to achieve advanced positions in various specialized competitions inside and outside Egypt.
