The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University, represented by the Crisis and Disasters Unit, carried out an extensive preventive campaign on the departments of the faculty, the medical center and the administrative building, language and computer laboratories, as well as toilets and all halls and headquarters of the college for the purpose of combating insects, pests and rodents.
Prof. Dr. Rasha Al-Didi, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, stressed the importance of the campaign in purifying and sterilizing the college and combating these pests because they are among the causes of diseases and epidemics in light of the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
Al-Didi said that the campaign was carried out in accordance with the cooperation protocol concluded between the Faculties of Agriculture and Arts at the university since last January.
The spraying procedures continued from one in the afternoon until six in the evening yesterday, Thursday, and the campaigns resulting from the protocol succeeded in the complete purification and sterilization of the college, especially in light of the heat wave in the country.
The campaign was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Rasha Al-Didi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Ms. Iman Mahmoud, Secretary of the College, and follow-up Prof. Mahmoud Abdel Halim, Director of the Crisis and Disaster Control Unit, Ms. Nermin Gerges, employee of the unit.
