The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine honors the medical team carrying out the process of injecting children with muscular dystrophy

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors, Prof. Dr. Walid Anwar, Director of Ain Shams Specialized Hospital, and Prof. Dr. Osama Mansour, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Postgraduate Studies and Research, honored the medical team carrying out injection operations for children with spinal muscular atrophy, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hani Aref, Professor and Head of the Department of Neurosurgery, Prof. Dr. Nagia Ali Fahmy, Professor of Neurology and Director of the Musculoskeletal Diseases Unit, Prof. Dr. Mona Mokhtar, Director of the Neurology Unit at Ain Shams Specialized Hospital, and the medical team supporting them, including doctors, assistant teachers, residents doctors, physiotherapists, nursing staff, and administrators.

   
   
   

Ain Shams University and Ain Shams Specialized Hospital had conducted 4 injections to treat children with muscular dystrophy, the last of which were the cases of the two girls, Nagham and Lama, who were injected as the first two cases within the presidential initiative to treat patients with spinal muscular atrophy free of charge at the state's expense.
