In an atmosphere of joy, the closing ceremony of the music and singing competition of Ain Shams University was held on the stage of the Faculty of Girls, where the ceremony was opened by Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Rukaia Shalaby, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, Prof. Dr. Mai Helmy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.
Dr. Abdul Fattah Saoud expressed his pride and happiness with his sons, male and female students of the university, and his full and continuous support for every talented in various artistic, scientific, cultural and sports fields, stressing that art and culture are food for the soul and thought. He referred to the support and interest of the university administration headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, aims to develop students’ capabilities and provide professional trainers in various fields to hone students’ talents, as well as support students to participate in all local and international forums.
It is noteworthy that the music and singing competition was attended by nine teams from different faculties, and the jury members were: Prof. Dr. Hoda Ahmed Mohamed, former Vice Dean of the Higher Institute of Arabic Music, and Prof. Dr. Iman Mohamed Anwar, professor at the Higher Institute of Arabic Music and Prof. Dr. Khaled Mohamed Ibrahim, professor at the Higher Institute of Arabic Music.
The competition was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Mr. Muhammad Al-Khatib, Assistant Secretary for Education and Student Affairs, and Mr. Muhammad Al-Sharkawi, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare, and Mr. Mustafa Issa, Director of the Technical Activity Department.
The results of the competition resulted in the Faculty of Al-Alsun winning the first place in group singing, the Faculty of Engineering in second place in group singing, and the Faculty of Girls in third place in collective singing.
Student Ibrahim Assem’s solo singing at the Faculty of Engineering, won the first place, the second place won by the individual student Hind Khaled at the Faculty of Engineering, the second place by the student Omar Saeed’s solo singing at the Faculty of Commerce, the third by the student Peter Magdy’s solo singing at the Faculty of Law, the third place by the student Buthaina Khaled by the Faculty of Girls, and the third place by the student Also the student Mahmoud Awad at the Faculty of Engineering, the student Nesma Mustafa at the Faculty of Arts, and the student Nawal Alaa Al-Din at the Faculty of Arts.
