Opening the joint environmental courses with the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research, and the Ministry of Environment

Prof. Dr. Noha Samir Donia, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Research at Ain Shams University, and Dr. Samah Saleh, Advisor to the Minister of Environment, inaugurated the joint environmental courses between the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research at Ain Shams University and the Ministry of Environment, which are held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz, Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development.

         
   
         

The courses aim to raise environmental awareness for civil society, ministries and students in universities, and are held in the fields of environmental economics, sustainable development, waste management, rationalization of water and energy consumption, biodiversity and management of reserves, environmental protection, and green buildings.

The activities of the training courses included a number of lectures, where Prof. Dr. Noha Samir Donia gave a lecture on the relationship of sustainable development to the environment, Dr. Samah gave a lecture on the role of the Ministry of Environment and the Sustainable Development Unit, and Prof. Dr. Ali El Bahrawy, Professor of Hydraulics, explained the sustainable development goals and their indicators and presented a workshop on the role of the Ministry of Youth in achieving sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.

In appreciation of her effective contribution, Prof. Dr. Noha Samir Donia honored Dr. Samah Saleh, Advisor to the Minister of Environment, and gave her a shield for the faculty.
