Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, inspected the site of Sheikh Al Arab Hammam in the village of Al-Arki of Farshout Center, in order to follow up on the excavations of Sheikh Al Arab Hammam, in which the Faculty of Archeology Ain Shams University participates with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the French Institute of Oriental Archeology in Cairo.
Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Eldamaty, Dean of the Faculty of Archeology, said that training certificates were distributed to inspectors of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, as well as archeology students at Ain Shams University, in the presence of Laurent Colon, director of the French Institute of Oriental Archeology in Cairo, and Abbas Zawach, director of studies at the institute. Dr. Hassan Selim Professor of Egyptian Archeology at the Faculty of Archeology and Prof. Olfat Waziri, Director General of Antiquities of Nag Hammadi, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Shouki, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Archeology for Graduate Studies and Research and head of the mission, explained the site and the most important results of excavations this season, which included the discovery of many archaeological facilities, buildings and artifacts, which reflect the importance of the site and the nature of architecture and traditional arts in Upper Egypt in the mid-eighteenth century AD, and it is worth noting that the excavations will end On September 30 this year.
