The annual scientific conference of the Department of Child Psychological Studies at the Faculty of Graduate Studies of Childhood at Ain Shams University recommended encouraging students to choose modern and advanced research topics in the field of childhood that keep pace with the requirements and problems of the times and to establish a mechanism for the development of faculty staff and their assistants continuously in the use of electronic platforms in teaching and other scientific purposes Others to keep up with the current conditions in light of the spread of the Corona virus.

The conference also stressed the importance of developing and documenting the role of the Department of Psychological Studies for Children in community service and environmental development in accordance with the strategic plan of the faculty and university and the state's strategy for sustainable development 2030, and holding a competitive competition among students in terms of choosing the best scientific thesis discussed in the department according to methodological and scientific standards during the academic year.

         
   
         

The annual scientific conference of the Department of Psychological Studies for Children, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Howayda Al-Gebali, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies for Childhood, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Behairi, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Randa Kamal Abdel Raouf, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hoda Gamal, Head of the Department of Psychological Studies for Children, in the presence of the heads of departments at the faculty and a group of professors from the Department of Psychological Studies for Children at the Faculty.

Prof. Dr. Howaida Al-Gebali, Dean of the Faculty, said in her opening speech that the Department of Psychological Studies for Children is the cornerstone of the Faculty, and she praised the efforts made by the Faculty’s Vice-Deans in order to raise the status of the Faculty and the department’s professors, who had an active role in supporting the university educational process and supporting students and researchers.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Buhairi, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs at the faculty, praised the convoys organized by the faculty in the recent period to serve the community, and added that the faculty should remember its stature from former scholars and professors on such occasions.

Prof. Dr. Randa Kamal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Development Affairs, thanked Prof. Howayda Al-Gebali and Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Behairy and stressed that the professors were a source of encouragement for students in their research and set an example for dedicated work.

         
   
         

Prof. Dr. Gamal Shafik Ahmed, Professor of Clinical Psychology in the department and Secretary of the Childhood Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities, exposed one of the most important topics that keep pace with the current conditions under the title “Clinical monitoring of the difficult conditions of different groups of Egyptian children in the face of the repercussions of the Corona pandemic crisis.”

Also, Prof. Dr. Hoda Gamal, Head of the Department of Psychological Studies for Children, at the conference, reviewed the annual report of the department, where he showed progress in the percentage of students who obtained master’s and doctoral degrees despite the circumstances of the Corona pandemic.

The conference activities included a presentation of the students' suggestions that improve the quality of the university educational process.

The conference activities also witnessed honoring the faculty staff and their assistants in the department, as well as honoring the top students in the (Masters and PhD) stages in the department.
