The opening of the training course for natural reserves at the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Research

Prof. Dr. Noha Samir Donia, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Studies and Research at Ain Shams University, opened a training course in the field of natural reserves, which was organized by the college with the participation of the Ministry of Environment in the period from 28-30 September for members of civil society, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Noha Samir Donia, Dean of the Faculty and Prof. Dr. Hala Awadallah, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

         
   
         

The training course aims to raise environmental awareness among NGOs about the importance of biodiversity and the management of natural reserves to reach their management in a sustainable manner consistent with Egypt's Vision 2030.

Dr. Ayman Hamadeh, Head of the Central Department of Biodiversity at the Ministry of Environment, participated in the training course, with a lecture on "Conventions and Laws Regulating the Protection and Conservation of Biodiversity", during which he reviewed the role of the Ministry of Environment in monitoring and evaluating biodiversity in Egypt, addressing violating acts and sustainable management of resources.

         
   
         

Dr. Al-Baili Hatab, Director General of Biodiversity Economics at the Ministry of Environment, also participated in a lecture on "Natural Reserves as a Tool for Biodiversity Conservation".

Engineer Noha Sami, Wetlands Officer at the Ministry of Environment, gave a lecture on "Environmental Services Provided by Wetlands".
