The president of the university participates with the leaders of the armed forces in the opening of the 14th exhibition of military cultures
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, participated at the opening of the annual exhibition of the fourteenth military cultures, Memory of October 2021, which is organized by the Military Research Authority and will continue from 4 to 7 October, in the panorama of the October War, as part of the celebrations of Egypt and the Armed Forces for the 48th anniversary of the glorious October victories.
The opening ceremony was attended by a number of leaders of the armed forces, a number of symbols of thought, culture and media, students of faculties and military institutes, and a number of school and university students.
         
   
         
The exhibition includes many pavilions and exhibits in the fields of military culture, plastic arts, and pictures that dealt with the stages of the October War, and the role of the armed forces in supporting the elements of the comprehensive development of the state in all fields.
The exhibition included a pavilion for books, magazines, encyclopedias, cultural publications and plastic manuscripts that dealt with the October War with the participation of the Ministries of Education, Higher Education, and Culture, and a number of civil and press organizations and institutions, Egyptian publishing houses, in addition to the publications of the Military Research Authority.
The students of Ain Shams University also participated through some artistic activities such as oil paintings, photographs and mock-ups that embodied the most wonderful heroism of their great army in October 1973 under the supervision of the leadership of the Popular Defense Forces and the Military.
         
   
         
The exhibition included open display grounds for the weapons and equipment that participated in the October 1973 war from all the main branches of the armed forces, bodies and departments.
The exhibition "Memory of October 2021" included a cultural and artistic theater to present artistic performances, during which the university choir team participated in national musical and lyrical works with the participation of military music, the General Authority for Cultural Palaces and student groups in a number of Egyptian universities, and the directorates of education in the governorates of Cairo and Giza.
