"Awlip", a graduation project of Media Department at the Faculty of Arts, won first place in the field of documentary films

The Department of Communication and Media Sciences, Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Heba Shaheen, head of the department and director of the media center of the university, won first place as the best graduation project in the documentary film category, during his participation in the Arab Media Youth Forum for graduation projects for students of faculties and media departments in Egyptian universities, which is organized by the Faculty of Media, Cairo University during the period from 3-5 October 2021, under the auspices of Prof. Dr.. Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, President of Cairo University, and Prof. Dr. Howayda Mustafa, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Prof. Dr. Salwa El-Awadly, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, participated in the forum, 14 colleges, departments, and media institutes from various Egyptian public and private universities.

Prof. Dr. Heba Shaheen stated that the Media Department at Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, participated by the film " Awlip " in the documentary films category at the Arab Media Youth Forum, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts.

         
   
         

She explained that the documentary film " Awlip " takes place in the southern borders of Egypt, "the Halayeb and Shalateen area", with a focus on the customs and traditions of the people in this precious part of our dear Egypt. The film also touched on the most important national projects undertaken by the Egyptian state to develop the region.

The work team includes 20 male and female students: Omnia Abdel Rahman, Gehad Mohamed, Hussein Amer, Samar Magdy, Maryam Ahmed, Maryam Mohamed, Mustafa Abdel Karim, Mustafa Sayed, Menna Allah Abdallah, Menna Allah Mohamed, Mirna Ashraf, Melissa Michel, Nada Jalal, Nada Gamal, Nada Salama, Nermin Sayed, Hind Al-Sadawi, Yasmine Gamal, Yasmine Walid, Yousra Nagy, and the film is under the supervision of Ms. Sarah Mohamed, assistant teacher in the department.
