The Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, under the auspices of Dr. Mostafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision and organization of Dr. Rasha El-Didi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development and the supervisor of the Department of Psychology, held a memorial ceremony for the deceased, Dr. Mahmoud El-Sayed Abu El-Nile, one of the most important pioneers and symbols of psychology Social and industrial in Egypt and the Arab world.
The memorial service began with verses from the Holy Quran read by Dr. Salih Abdel Karim, one of the students of the deceased.
A number of attendees gave speeches during the memorial ceremony, which was started by Dr. Rasha El-Didi by mentioning a biography of Dr. Mahmoud Abu El-Nile and stressed that time is long to present his great scientific history, as he was a sober methodological scientist and a wise academic sponsor of a generation of psychology professors in Egypt and the Arab world. She thanked the family of the deceased, his wife, companion, and his son and daughter, Dr. Heba Allah Abu El-Nile, Dean of the Faculty of Special Needs Sciences at Beni Suef University, who responded to the department’s desire to honor his good spirit and accepted the gift of the department’s members, which was represented in the printing and publishing of a book entitled: “Farewell, Dr. Mahmoud Abu El-Nile”, which includes articles by a large number of his students about his biography, his scientific career, and his noble and good attitudes with them, as well as dedicating the shield of honor for his good spirit to his wife and children in order to perpetuate his legacy and biography.

For his part, Dr. Fathy El-Sharkawy, professor of psychology at the faculty and former vice president of Ain Shams University, expressed his pride in the presence of this gathering in the memorial ceremony for a symbol, value and stature in the field of psychology, reviewing some important points in his scientific history and his good relationship with everyone who deals with him and learns from him.
Dr. Ahmed Khairy Hafez, Professor of Psychology at the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University, said that Dr. Mahmoud Abu El-Nile no one could disagree with the nobility of his behavior, the highness of his morals and his giving, which he bestowed on everyone, scientists or still students, you will find every section of psychology at the level of Egypt’s universities, he has generous hands in supporting and building it. He even established psychology departments in most of the regional universities in the governorates of Egypt, conveying his enlightened thought, insightful methodological vision, and intellectual moderation, so that each department has its own features and scientific uniqueness.

While Dr. Mohamed Taha, Professor of Psychology and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the British University in Cairo, expressed his full appreciation to the Faculty of Arts for honoring the names that influenced the specialization and in industrial and educational psychology, thanking the Faculty for organizing this ceremony.
He added that the follower of Dr. Mahmoud Abu El-Nile assures him that he deserves to be honored and that he has won many awards.
Dr. Rizk Sanad, Professor of Psychology at the Faculty, mentioned multiple situations in the history of their relationship, and the manifestations of his scientific support for him, saying: He was the first to call me to write two chapters in one of his books for statistics and the first to give me the opportunity to supervise with him some of his students after my appointment as a teacher in the department, and he brought me references from his private library to help me expand the scientific material that I study.
While Dr. Ayman Amer, Head of the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, said: Talking about the exploits of the venerable scholar Dr. Mahmoud Abu El-Nile through what he left of books, references and tangible material achievements does not dispense with the other way, which is related to monitoring what he left in the souls of his students and colleagues from profound influences and what they learned from his humility and paternity, who were affected by the course of his scientific and personal struggle, their living with his noble stances, his scientific support for them, and his support for their ambitions and dreams.
Dr. Mohamed Samir Abdel-Fattah, Vice-Dean of the Syndicate of Social Workers and former Dean of the Faculty of Social Work in Benha, expressed his deep thanks for inviting him to participate in the memorial service.
The memorial ceremony was attended by the family of the deceased, represented by his wife, Dr. Hoda, professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts, her daughter, Dr. Heba Allah Abu El-Nile, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences of People with Special Needs at Beni Suef University, and her husband, Dr. Ayman Amer, head of the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, and a group of psychology professors at Ain Shams University and other Egyptian universities, members of the supporting body, a number of loyal colleagues and students of the deceased, employees, and students of the Department of Psychology.
