Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and supervised by Prof. Dr. Rasha Al-Didi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the implementation of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kasim, Director of the Literacy and Adult Education Unit at the faculty. Dr. Rasha Al-Didi, coordinators of the National Project for Literacy and Adult Education among the faculty staff and their teaching assistants in supporting the faculty students to implement the university’s initiative to eradicate illiteracy from the Egyptian community, within the activities of the community service and environmental development sector through comprehensive development convoys, including medical and handicraft services and in-kind encouragement gifts provided From the Egyptian Clothing Bank and some civil society institutions, where many faculty members and their assistants participated in those events launched by the college in cooperation with the General Authority for Literacy and Adult Education.
The faculty had won the second place for the third time in a row among the colleges of the university in that initiative announced by the university, which would push the competition between the faculties participating in the project, which had a great impact on the impressive success that was achieved on the ground, as the convoys It achieved its desired goals under the slogan: "We are here with you", which has contributed to the literacy of nearly 6000 illiterate people so far.
Prof. Dr. Rasha Al-Deedy stated that she hopes that this commendable effort will continue on the ground among the most caring classes of society to help them raise their level by obtaining the opportunity to learn to achieve a decent life for every Egyptian citizen living on the land of this country.
