The Faculty of Arts continues its celebrations of October victories with a seminar: “The Second Crossing... The New Republic”

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and the supervision of a. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and in the context of the celebrations of the Faculty of Arts at Ain Shams University with the glorious October victories, the education and students sector, with the participation of the Youth Welfare Department and the Faculty Students Union, headed by Mohamed Hamdi, President of the Union and his deputy, Rawda Al-Ajmi, organized a seminar entitled: “The Second Crossing…The New Republic”

The symposium started its activities by showing a video of the achievements and mega projects that took place during the last few years, along with excerpts from the speeches of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in this regard.

Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel expressed the keenness of the education sector and students to host experts in all fields to transfer their experiences to the students and discuss them through a serious dialogue and to answer their questions to achieve the principle of obtaining information from its original sources.

She also stressed that the Egyptian armed forces are respected and appreciated by the Egyptians, and that crossing this time is not through war but through development.

For his part, Dr. Tarek Fahmy, the strategic expert at the Nasser Military Academy, expressed his happiness to talk with this large group of students, and urged them to arm themselves with the correct information from its legitimate and serious sources.

Regarding the importance of introducing students to the term “New Republic,” Fahmy continued, “If His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was the first to launch the term New Republic, looking at the main visions and ideas it included in this context is an attempt to launch Egypt into a different stage in form and content, with The opening of the administrative capital at the beginning of next year.

He said: The essence of what is being proposed is not only related to the name or meaning, but to the direct connotations of what the new republic could be like in terms of facts, activities, tasks, and even priorities and special responsibilities. The internal level is in the field of foreign policy and in the spheres of influence, especially in the Palestinian, Arab and regional file.

He continued, "His Excellency President El-Sisi is considered the owner of the current Egyptian national project, and he is indeed the first thinker of the path of movement and achievement in various sectors, as His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stems from full belief in the size and capabilities of work while relying on Egypt's own capabilities and not seeking the help of external expertise only. Within limited scopes, which confirms that only His Excellency President Sisi is able to direct and work with the help of well-established state institutions, the most important of which are the armed forces and the relevant ministries, each in his position.

He added, "This matter generated a very important feeling that His Excellency President Sisi monitors and evaluates every action and does not leave any stray or incoming without evaluation. He created new circles for Egypt in the field of foreign policy, which was evident in the expansion of the diplomatic movement in several directions.

On the development of Sinai and the new crossing, “Fahmy” reviewed the most important features of the new development projects and the reconstruction of Sinai, where he praised the new city of Rafah, and called on the media to shed light on the huge development and national projects in all fields.
