The Department of Communication and Media Sciences, Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Heba Shaheen, won first center prizes for student graduation projects, during the department’s participation in the Sixth Shrouk Festival for Media Students’ Creativity, which is organized by the Higher Institute of Media at El Shrouk Academy during the period from 24-27 October 2021, under the patronage of Major General Ahmed Abdel Rahim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shorouk Academy , and a. Dr.. Muhammad Saad Ibrahim, Dean of the Higher Institute of Information, Prof. Dr. Soheir Saleh Ibrahim, the institute’s deputy, and 40 faculties, departments, and media institutes from different Egyptian public and private universities participated in the festival.
Prof. Dr. Heba Shaheen said that the Media Department at Ain Shams University participated in several graduation projects at the level of "radio and television, journalism, public relations and advertising" at the Sunrise Festival, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts.
She explained that the Department of Communication and Media Sciences won 3 first place awards, as "The Great Night" magazine won first place in the category of printed magazines at the level of journalism graduation projects, under the supervision of Prof. Nesma Mohamed, assistant teacher in the department, and artistic director a. Ahmed Kamal.
Al-Sarh campaign also won first place in the category of radio advertising at the level of public relations graduation projects under the supervision of a. Amr Bahloul teaching assistant in the department.
The Compass project also won first place in the TV program category at the level of TV graduation projects under the supervision of A. Aya Mounir teaching assistant section.
