Prof. Dr. Khaled Kadri expressed his happiness of the continuation of the fruitful and constructive cooperation with Sawiris Foundation and the American University of Chicago for the fourth year in a row, noting that this is the result of a joint effort from the Graduate Studies and Research Sector, headed by Prof. Dr. Hayam Wahba and coordinator of the agreement at the university, Ms. Heba Iskandar, Sawiris Foundation, Dr. Dina Rashid, Vice President of the University of Chicago, where the full care of our students is provided, under the auspices and support of the University headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, who closely follows the success of this experiment, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research.
He explained that this scholarship is a great opportunity for our students to gain experience, learn and how to act and deal, which is the goal of traveling in this scholarship.
Prof. Dr. Hayam Wahba, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, indicated that the cooperation with the University of Chicago comes against the background of the cooperation protocol concluded between the University of Chicago and Ain Shams University in the fields of research and education, and the "Sawiris" program to provide scholarships for faculty students to study at the University of Chicago for a year. Full in the field of finance and economics, where the researcher studies 12 courses according to it, and she also made it clear that these grants can be extended to graduate students in the faculty.
She pointed out that the activation of the agreement resulted in 10 students from the Faculty of Business receiving a fully funded scholarship to study at the University of Chicago.
Prof. Dr. Dina Rashid, Vice President of the University of Chicago, reviewed the university's ranking, as the University of Chicago is ranked among the top 10 universities in the world, and currently has more than 16 thousand students enrolled in various faculties and programs in various fields of arts, sciences, business administration, and other various disciplines.
Heba Iskandar, Director of Community Development and Development at Sawiris Foundation, pointed out that this grant is an opportunity for all students to travel and obtain this grant from the Nassef Sawiris Foundation, for a better future for Egypt.
Ms. Mais Abu Hegab, director of the Education and Scholarships Sector at Sawiris Foundation, added that there are many scholarships that have benefited more than 1,200 students, which makes us keener to continue success and provide more scholarships to more students with distinguished public universities such as Ain Shams University.
