Dr. Khaled Abd El-Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, received a report submitted by Dr. Ashraf El-Azazi, Cultural Affairs and Missions Sector Chairman, about launching the announcement of the training program for Egyptian Universities Hospitals Doctors on liver transplant and surgery in Paris according to the agreement signed with Paris hospitals administration in France upon the conditions of Missions Law no. 149 of 2020.
The report stated that the specializations available for the training program are in the fields of (liver transplant, gastroenterology and hepatology surgeries, and gastroenterology and hepatology diseases).
The report pointed out that the training types are as follows:
- Associate Trainee (Stagiaire associé) in which the trainee will take over his work in the department in which it got accepted for 6 months. The trainee will have the right to deal with patients and will have specific functions. To get accepted in this kind of training, it is required to apply through hospitals’ administration websites, complete the file, and make a joining application before 15th January 2022. Work is going to start in November 2022 if the applicant got chosen. ( www.cmhp.fr)
-Observer trainee (Stage observation) and its duration will be two months only with maximum three trainee per year.
- Clinical researches intern trainee (Stage de medicine de recherché Clinique) and its duration will be two years depending on the research project.
The report mentioned that the training will be in Centre hepato-biliaire Paul Brousse Hospital in Paris.
The report added that the last date for application is Wednesday corresponding 1 December 2021 through scholars submitting their files to the Public Administration for Delegations which address is (7 Dr. Ibrahim Abu El-Naga St. – Embassies Area – Nasr City – Cairo – Fourth floor) for examining and assuring that they satisfy all the conditions.

It is noted that the delegations will bear the expenses of the scholars accepted in the training. These expenses include (trainee accommodation, round-trip flying tickets and medical insurance) provided that the scholar has to be previously submitted the file for the delegation to examine and nominate it for the training program. In case of applying through other mean, delegation will not bear any expenses.
